Dwelling in the days of Uncertainty
"Thank you for traveling Uncertainty Airways, Looks like some turbulence ahead please stay true to read your word when the days get bumpy. As you can see to your left and right there is a storm and a hurricane and no this plane is not going to save you." How many times do we look to the things of this world to save us from the struggles, the trials and the pain? We put our hope in the earthly things that we can touch and see when all of this is so temporary. How many of us grab onto faces, friends and familiar tactics to escape the out of control feeling?
" Each time he said, My Grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness. So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, harships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
There is nothing like reading this scripture, I feel so encouraged. My grace is all you need just really take that in, we need nothing more than God's grace. So here we are we don't know what the future holds and we are uncertain. Somedays we barely see a light and other days we are beaming. So on the days of confusion of hurt of lost and alone feelings Seek Christ. "When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resource he will empower you with inner strength through his spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all Gods people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though iit is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." Ephesians 3:14-19
I know that I don't have anything to share but the absolute truth that regardless of where you are God can help you. Get in your word and read the promises and truth God has before you. We are so blessed to have it ready available to us, ,and we can read and be enriched and encouraged by all God is doing. "God Arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow. You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. You have mdde a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping." Psalm 18:32-36 MAY GOD bless you and keep you as you travel the path before you. God Bless!

Fill me up God
"O Lord my God, You have preformed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal." Psalm 40:5"
Lately I have been overwhelmed with all this hullaballoo. Sometimes I can get bombarded in my day to day and lose perspective. When I read this verse today I was taken to that place of peace. "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you His peace in all times in every situation. The Lord be with you all." 2 Thessalonians 3:16
Regardless of these circumstances whatever comes your way, put your Hope in the Lord. "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1
Blessings.

Jesus is our Jubilee
I am sitting before you once again humbled. Just to give you an interesting update on the homefront. Thing one and two have unfortunately come down with colds. It's so crazy because they were very healthy just a couple of days ago.Any moment I expect Ghostbusters to come collect the snot monster that has taken over my home. I am just amazed at how God consistently goes in front of me day after day. I have nothing but utter joy welling up from the inside because of all God does in my life. That is why I am blogging right now because God is so very good to me. I can tell you my house is in the trenches fighting off the colds. It doesn't matter though because God is gracious and good and provides all things. In my devotional today it said : "I will equip you as you go so that you can handle whatever comes your way. Trust me to supply what you need when you need it.Jesus Calling Sarah Young" That is exactly what happened today, as soon as I felt overwhelmed God equipped me. I'm so thankful for the strength I have in Christ alone, for the energy I have to provide what my kids need. For my Joy that comes from the Lord for He is my refuge and my strength. I'm sitting here in tears just amazed at how much God truly desires to pave this path for me. Just in case I forgot to mention this has been my year of Hope. When 2015 hit I just felt really consumed with things that had seemed disappointing, and after time in my word I truly can tell you God was sharing Hope with me. I just truly took that on and I have been seeing my Year of nothing but Hope. Hope in God and all He is able to do, especially in a servant willing to serve.
Put your hope in the Lord. Travel steadily along His path."Psalm 37:34
And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Psalm 39:7
I love moments like this just consumed by the Love of Christ. I know we all need Jesus so very much. Praying for you as you take on whatever God has in store for your days. I pray they are seeking God's direction and love for you. S.

That saved a wretch like me
Good Morning! I had the opportunity this past weekend to go on a spiritual retreat. It was such an honor to be surrounded by tons of different women through all different walks of life. It is so wonderful to be gathered together praising God for who He is. We had several talks and touched on so many different struggles we all face. I think it's incredibly important to share our lives with others so we can help them run the race! I don't think we should ever feel alone, especially because Christ never leaves us. Our core verse this weekend was
Joshua 1:9 "This is my command- Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!"
We talked about be rooted like tree's and our source of strength is Christ. I just found it to be so wonderful to be able to rub lives with all these different lives with one common purpose. We all loved and desire more of Jesus, and were happy to share our struggles to strengthen our Faith. Our Hope is in our Creator and not in anything of ourselves. It's false to think we don't struggle, you know we do. That's why it is so beautiful to have Jesus. We talked about what our Ideals are and who they should come from. We talked about how God is the God of all comfort and He comforts us so we can comfort others! 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 We shared in the Word and how in reading God's word we can grow in our relationship with Him. We shared in Grace and Faith and all that brings us to those places of rest. We ate a ton of food and shared in the fellowship around us. We heard from young women, from teens and from more experienced generations. We all understood why we were there and felt God with us. We talked about the Hope that comes from Christ and how He brings us to His presence. We spoke on Piety and how we can dedicate who and what we are to Christ. More than one talk focused on it being an ongoing process, admitting that we are all works in progress. We shared in the fruits of the spirit and how each one is a tool to be used. These are just a few of the things we talked about and yet writing them now I have chills. I just am incredibly overjoyed to feel the presence of God with me. To be consumed by His love right with me. I don't know where you are at today, I can't pretend I do. I do know that if you don't know about Christ, I am so willing to share. I am not a perfect person, I'm a sinner and I need Jesus to live. Not living as the world lives in sin and corruption but in Christ with mercy and grace. From a peace that the world will never give you, one that Christ sets you free. Free from the sin that drags you down day after day. The lies that the devil tells you "You're not good enough", "You'll never be worthy," "You're not pretty." Don't give weight to anything the devil says he is only capable of lies. Jesus is truth, He knows you by name. He knows your story because He wrote it.
Jeremiah 1:5 "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb, Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."
Who knows you better than the one who formed you? No one, there is not one. This world is fallen and broken and God has called you by name. He knows you and wants to know you even more than you think. He desires to share His love with you, and capture your heart. So you can truly understand what it feels like to be loved. Truly loved, God loved you so much that He sent His only son to die for your sins. "John 3:16" As we take on the week I encourage you to seek Christ in all moments. To bring Him into your day to day, to invite Him to guide your steps.
Colossians 3:23 "Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than people."
God Bless you all on your days that lie ahead, Enjoy this wonderful weather brought to us from our King of Kings! S.

Who is worthy, none beside thee
Hello Spring!
I have not taken time to blog in such a long time, I was rereading my own past blogs to see how far I've truly come. It's incredible that we're in 2015! I can't even believe we've hit April. Entering into April brings so much perspective, this time last year I was packing up my belongings and moving North. The weather from the South to the North is incredibly different. You go from warm sunny skies to dreary and cold air. The snow is no longer pretty it's ugly and dirty. Much like ourselves. When we don't desire to let God completely cleanse us from the inside out. Today I'm humbled, once again at all God continues to do.Spring has brought up so many things for me, I'm thankful that winter is leaving. I feel so refreshed knowing that we survived, It's truly a beautiful revelation. If it was warmer then it actually is I would open up all the windows, blast the music, and dance all around this house. I have been really encouraged by all the people God has placed in my life. Incredibly sweet friends that are doing nothing but what God asks of them. I was encouraged to listen to a sermon series today: I listened to two of them while working on household projects. As I was listening I ended up bursting into tears more than once. Mostly because of the convicting messages, ones that I was personally struggling in my day to day. Isn't it true to God's form to use His kingdom to help us in our struggles, to bring us side by side for we are stronger in Him. When I moved South 8 years ago I had no idea what to expect but I can just tell you, It changed my life. Through Christ I made some of the greatest friendships that I know will be with me until I am no longer on this earth. I've been reading in Thessalonians, While reading it I could see my friends encouraging me through my struggles. I could see my friends quoting the same scriptures to me in my times of joy and of pain.
"Some people make cutting remarks but the words of the wise bring healing." Proverbs 12:18
The bible has the greatest knowledge and I think to often we don't seek it in all we do. We choose to take our own advice instead of taking the time to read what the Lord is leading us to. We are so quick to fly off the handle instead of taking time to see the beauty He's laid before us.
"The heart of the Godly thinks carefully before speaking; the mouth of the wicked overflows with evil words." Proverbs 15:28
What I desire more than anything to be living my life to please the Lord. If I'm not glorifying God in all I'm doing than I'm failing. I don't want to do anything but bring Glory,Honor and Praise to the one who gave me all I have. I can't even say it enough. I'm here because of what God is doing.
"So lets not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up." Galatians 6:9
Psalm 9:10 "Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you."
I just want to encourage you today, don't stop searching. Take heart for God sees you, and He does not abandon those who love Him.
"We know dear brothers and sisters, that God loves you and has chosen you to be His own people." 1 Thessalonians 1:4

"So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. 16 But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. 17 So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. 18 And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[d] I want to do what is right, but I can’t. 19 I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. 20 But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. 21 I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. 22 I love God’s law with all my heart. 23 But there is another power[e] within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. 24 Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? 25 Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin." Romans 7:14-25
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Ephesians 5:1-2I'm am amazed in all the ways God directs us, He has put everything before us that we need to know. Nothing happens that He doesn't know about, and prepare us for. Can you just take a moment and think about that? He's gone before us, He's with us and He will be after us. I don't know about you but I need that daily. Moment by moment breath by breath, I just have to breath Him in.
Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant. Galatians 1:10
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. Galatians 2:20Going through the days I have just become stagnant.Just deciding that God couldn't possibly be doing anything. Which of course is a lie. A lie that I had chosen to believe, one that just got into my mind and until recently was living. As you could tell I hadn't been blogging. With good reason, what was I to say? How could I encourage when I wasn't at a place to open my mouth. I know that I am exactly where God wants me. I know that He is doing wonderful things, in the past week He has shown me so much.
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his spirit. then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. May you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:16-21Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light. Ephesians 5:10-14 See the world wants us to be overrun with hardships and seeing no hope, When God clearly has a plan for us a path to follow. It's our choice what we decide. Just today my man was telling thing 1 how we can choose to be happy, or choose to be grumpy. Just like we can choose to follow Christ's path or the worlds.
This is what the Lord says; Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you find rest for your souls. But you reply,"No that's not the road we want!"Jeremiah 6:16See the problem isn't with God, He's ready and willing to give us rest. Rest for our souls, and yet we choose to walk in the opposite direction.
Nevertheless, that time for darkness and despair will not go on forever. The Land of Zebulun and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory. Isaiah 9:1Praise Jesus! We don't have to live in the darkness, that is an incredible blessing.
You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost it's flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:13-16I don't want anything to come in between my relationship with Christ. I don't want to choose the world over Him, I don't want doubt to overwhelm.
Jesus responded, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith! Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. The disciples were amazed. "Who is this man?"they asked. "Even the winds and waves obey him!Matthew 8:26-27"We need to stop putting God is a tiny little box, We need to take a step back and see Him as the God he really is. One that knows me and you better than anyone else. To finish one of my all time favorite verses:
Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble, or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the scriptures say,"For your sake we are killed everyday; we are being slaughtered like sheep.*) No despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Niether death nor life, neither angels nor demons,*neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow- not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below- indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 8:35-39Don't let the world overcome you my sweet friends, Christ has brought us to this place and He will never let anything happen that is beyond His control. Praying for you each and everyday. S.

Walking into walls
"The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand." Psalm 37:23-24
It is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them. Proverbs 13:19
Fear of the Lord is a life-giving fountain; it offers escape from the snares of death.Proverbs 14:27
You can make many plans, but the Lords purpose will prevail. Proverbs 19:21
Good Morning! I was reading in my bible thinking about how long it's been that I've blogged. While thing 1 & 2 are busy. I thought I would just open my laptop and start some writing this morning. Lately I have been having loads of family time, which has been lovely. Watching the kiddos being able to be apart of everything has been a blessing beyond compare. I have really been taking steps back to Let God control my walk. I kept running into walls and stubbing my toe and just hurting myself. Yesterday I literally hit my head off the fan. It's easy to believe it was all accidents but I could see there was a bigger picture. When I try to run my life, I get hurt. Does that happen to you? I let the things people say and do affect who I am. Which is not what Christ has for me at all.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14
You are going to get so many mixed messages in this world. You are going to be lied to , cheated on in one way or another and hurt. The thing is that Christ is the Healer. He can take those wounds and clean them up. He's the best kind of healer, He leaves no scars. I have so many scars on the outside that I can tell you what happened, where I was and what I did. Inside where Christ does the healing, you are going to have no scars! I pray that you can open your eyes today in all He's doing in your lives. I know it took getting hit in the head for me.I hope it's not the same for you. Mostly because it really didn't feel good, but for it I am thankful because it gave me the opportunity not to slip into old habits. Blessings on your week! All praise to God! For He is the only one worth praising.
Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the Lord and He will give you your hearts desires.S.
