There is nothing I enjoy more than throwing on some stretchy leggings with an over sized sweatshirt. Both kiddos are content so I am writing to tappity tap tap with my fingers. I haven't written in a while, which if you are a faithful reader you would know that. If not if this is your first visit, welcome and please don't hesitate to look around. As I write to you today I am so very grateful for all the wonderful people that have opened there hearts to me. I have the greatest people here surrounding me every single day. I never feel like I can't call one of them up for help, I always feel that they are just 100% there for me. Which I know is something that only comes from God. Friends are so essential to life, friends that I would refer to as my family because they have become that for me. The pick up the pieces and help me everyday in life. I'm very aware that I'm not the only one that falls apart, it's just so nice to know that on days I want to they are there. I'm going to be going on another trip, which will make it hard to leave. I couldn't imagine loving where I live anymore. God has made NC my home, through my beautiful church I've made wonderful friendships that will stand the test of time. Because we have 1 thing in common, the only thing that matters which is Jesus. Without Jesus, its impossible to have anything thrive in this world. This week has been full of shopping, gearing up for Christmas. All the houses are decorating with lights, trees and little snowmen figurines. Villages are coming out of the attic to be once again shown off, and again we'll gather to cherish all we do have. We are so very, very , privileged and blessed. Such an abundance of gifts,which my pleasure is giving. Don't get me wrong I love to receive, I really do, but giving is SO much of a joy. Seeing faces light up after finding just what you were looking for. That unexpected grin of-You shouldn't have-. Jesus gives us that gift not only every year but everyday. It shouldn't be something we take lightly at all, quick to blow it off like its normal. Yeah your so right, People go out and die for my sins daily, I'm that wonderful. -NOT TRUE!- Yet in these days everyone just goes about there business. Yes I know who Jesus is, That is so fabulous. Do you know all He does for you. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.John 3:16
How He gave up His one and only son for you. Now I want you to think about this, Especially for you that have something so precious to you. Would you be willing to give that all up for the world? For a purpose so much greater than you can wrap your head around? Would you give up the life of your child for ones that aren't even born yet?
I am always brought back to Mary, and what an honor but hardship that must have been. Trusting in God is always a place that it takes me time to grow. When I hear what God has in store I'm like, -hmmmm I dunno God , and then it happens and something beautiful appears. Things I never would have known. God loves and cares for us, even when its hard to see in the storms of life. He's right there holding onto your hand. I pray this Christmas season you remember all Jesus did. The true reason we come together, the real meaning of Christmas and all God has in store for the year to come. Blessings to you all and prayers.

Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.- Philippians 2:4Do you ever just read a verse and think "REALLY?" For me I have no problem doing this at all for the people that I just "click" with, or with people that are kind at heart. As much as this is going to come as a shock, I do not get along with everyone. In fact more than a few people I struggle with. Yet reading this verse this week I was like "Okay God, I get it." I was just speaking with a friend about this, and we both laughed and said things like " Lots of prayer is involved, prayer to change our hearts." This has been apparent in my life for the past month or so, that I am pretty good at talking the talk, then as Christ calls me to walk it out I struggle to take back control then end up reenacting a teenage tantrum and loosing the battle.
"God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day."Psalm 46:5There are so many times especially in this world that it looks easier to live without Christ. I have never chosen the easy road, which just shows me I'm always up for a challenge. Yet if I retreat every time it gets hard in my walk, or in motherhood, or marriage, or friendship I would miss out on so many,many blessings when I accomplish the task at hand. My favorite song today has been "Stand-Susan Ashton" The lyrics just speak to my heart and I just really enjoy her voice. It has been quite the day, Thing 2 decided she wanted to relive being an infant so she pulled an all nighter. Boy, Makes you not want to complain about the sleep you aren't getting, Then you see what No sleep is really like. I find in every situation I go to the enemy wants me to feel completely and totally alone. You know when you are in that dark place, lonliness becomes your companion. We reach out into the darkness instead of searching for the light. We have been singing "This little light of mine", Thing 1 has been practicing. Which brings me to the verse that I think of in times of darkness. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeeds and praise your Father in heaven.Matthew 5:14-16 If you know me than you know I don't like the dark, in fact I am scared of it. I always put lights on, I never like complete darkness and like my children enjoy nightlights. I don't see this as a downfall in any way, more that my life is living out what Christ calls of us. To let our lights shine, :) Even when we're sleeping. For me that's where Satan tries to get a foothold, wherever there is darkness. I've learned in the past weeks that If I don't address situations of darkness, the darkness grows. That is why I have started shining light wherever I go. With Thing 1 I have struggled to be the mom he needs, especially when he is consistently misbehaving. Which leads me back to Psalm 46:5, God has given us all the instructions we need! Basically for me it has come down to , I don't really care if its popular to cling to all the things I know as truth. Regardless this is who I am. Christ has brought me this far, and until He brings me to be with him in heaven this is who I am going to be. As Thanksgiving is fast approaching, I pray that you are seeking the wisdom God has given you. This world is hard, and always out to bring us down. Yet our Savior is here to lift us up, avoiding the world and living in harmony and peace with our Creator. Blessings on your Thanksgiving. I am so Thankful I can get to know my Lord day after day. S.

A closer look
Because I don't do this often, I decided to write out some questions.. along with my answers and give you a little .. closer view of "Me"
Food: Top comfort food favorites include: Chicken Pot Pie, Tacos, Cold Spaghetti, Steak & Potatoes, Pot Roast, Pizza.
Dessert: I love all kinds of pie, but chocolate or some kind of berry is definitely a winner. Chocolate strawberries- Delish Canoli- Yum and I love all candy bars mostly. Top 5 would be :Snickers, Butterfinger, Mr. Goodbar, Nutrageous, Take 5. I love sour patch kids, Chewy spree and all M & m's :)
All things Me: *Singing, Playing Games-Board games, Video games, I love games. Scrapbooking although I never get time too. I love to write letters, I enjoy coloring books and having a new tv series to watch. Reading my bible while snuggled under blankets and kids quiet-Best day ever.
Face/Hair: I don't really care as long as I'm clean. I throw my hair up and I rarely wear makeup. I have come to a place of acceptance of who I am and that's what God loves about me. Now if I could just come to that place in ways of "things".
Clothes: My closet is not what I truly want it to be. I have new love of stripes and mostly everything nautical. Which happens to be expensive brands like Tommy hillfinger, chaps, Nautica, You name that more preppy together look, that's what I like. I didn't ever have a style so now that I know what I like it makes shopping much easier.
Dislikes: Being sick, going to places with no drive thru, I vote all stores have a place to drive your car and shop. It is much easier than lugging children to and fro. That my kids don't float. It would so much easier travel. Anything that doesn't self clean.
Favorite movies: She's the Man, Sweet home Alabama, Little women, PIXAR all the way, Anything I can just relax and enjoy. Phantom of the Opera, Taken, Pocohantas, Beauty and the Beast,Beastly, The notebook, V for Vendetta, Avengers , All batmans, I am a Geek for sure. :)
What I collect/like: RAIN GEAR, Journals, Aprons. I am like I already stated attracted to nautical things.I like hounds tooth and plaid and mostly anything with teal and navy in it.

Whats that smell?
Today I am doing a major downsize and reorganizing. It is actually a ton of work which is a slow process but other than bible studies this week I have no plans so plenty of time. A blessing in many ways to get it all done before the holidays that always seem to come with inhale and leave before you get to exhale. At least that's how it seems to go year after year here.
I was reading the end of the psalms last night, it was nice just to Praise God for all He does within us and throughout our days. It always surprises me to know how much an impact you made on someone's life. I just want to keep that in mind daily because if I am making an impact I hope that impact reflects my Savior. Let's be honest, I don't always act that way. So I pray that my actions and my words are more just a living testimony of who I want to be and strive everyday to live up to those. So while I was puttering rearranging cupboards, I caught a whiff of (Hubbys) body spray. My past just swept completely over me and I felt like I was 16 again smelling it at church. Just like whenever I smell Garnier Fructis I'm back at summer camp washing my hair. I love that, I love that smells just basically transport you back to memories you long have forgotten. My family is addicted to the baby magic smell, every new baby that comes along they lather that stuff on like it's gone tomorrow. So whenever it graces my nose, I think "New baby". *chuckles* Spiritually its the same way for me.Whenever we go to a scripture that has been such a rock in my walk I think "hello old friend". How when I read a verse in my bible that's highlighted. It's almost seeing a trailer of all the moments I clung to that exact verse. I have really been enjoying reading in my bible then reading the same thing in other versions. Having that time in the word brings me to my latest episode. Thing 1 has been taking off his diaper and going potty in the house. Saturday it was pooping down the hallway, Today it was peeing underneath the crib. I can tell you that instead of being like "aww aren't you cute", I look at that beautiful little face and pray. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O Lord, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God' may your good spirit lead me on level ground. Psalm 143:8-10 Just typing it out now I am like.. *long exhale* Amen Thank you God. :) I just pray that I follow where God's leading me. That I am constant in seeking His will and not my own. I don't want this life to be about me, I want it to bring glory to Him. I have so grown up, from my days of wearing the self involved t-shirts. Now I have the little ones that "know" its all about them. I will look forward to when they grow up and have little "self obsessed" munchkins of there own. Growing up for me has been challenging, but I am happy to grow. I love time in my word, I have learned to take what I can get and not beat myself up over that. Anytime in the word is a blessing! Oh November I welcome you with open arms, I love seeing all the thankful posts even though a friend and I were chuckling about it. In November we are super thankful than December rolls around and we begin posting all the things we want. Very sad, but true. Praying for this country and all the big decisions that are going to be decided. God has his everlasting hand on us and will be right with us today, tomorrow and to come. A powerless sin
Good Morning! I love waking up feeling refreshed and renewed. This week has been such a fulfilling week in Jesus. We had such a great service Wednesday that was just full of music and an alter call. Then we had a really fantastic study Thursday with great discussion. Last night I slept soundly and of course like usual, I didn't want to get outta bed. You know if you met me years ago and we hung out that you would not recognize me today. Which basically shows me how much I have grown. Yet living day to day, it is so easy to get caught up in life that we forget just how much God is molding and making us. I wouldn't go back if you paid me, even now I have trials and tribulations yet they seem so minor compared to when I wasn't seeking a more intimate relationship with my Savior. One that when I do fall or stumble that I seek redemption, One that is fortified when I am with friends that are living like I am. One that no matter what knowing I have Jesus makes everyday worth being alive. I know how terrible and rotten this world can be, I am just thankful everyday for having Christ to make days wonderful! So we were in Romans 6 last night,
"Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? 2 Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?" Romans 6:1-2
WOW! Literally, mind blown. This was such a strong conviction for me, how can we read this and not be struck. Let's be real, I don't know how your walk is coming or where you are reading this. I just know that when it comes to it, I blog for me. I blog because it helps me put into perspective all I am reading. Writing it out, putting my thoughts down helps me process all of them. If you get something from it as well, amazing because that is all God. In all of this I am just a vessel, one that is willing to share my life experience to bring glory and honor to God. For He is the only one worthy of it. Last night was one of those times I just never wanted study to end, because having the discussion we had and being able to fellowship and learn is where I just wanna live. That's where I want my home to be, Completely fused to Christ. Life here is a day to day chaos. It's so fabulous to be with the kids, and to be teaching them and vice versa. 12 "Do not let sin control the way you live;[a] do not give in to sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God" Romans 6:12-13 YES! I so wanna be an instrument for Christ, a living example of His love. I know there will be moments that sin tries to take hold, Satan knows all the fragile spots of your heart. All those times that the ground almost seems invisible because your so lost.CHRIST knows you so much more, He formed you in your mothers womb, He gives us encouragement in His word. Take some time today for Christ, shut off the tv, open your word and just be renewed. "23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."Romans 6:23 Romans is a wonderful description of your life for Christ, Couldn't be any clearer. If your gonna stand up and call yourself a Christian, I hope its not just words to you. I pray it's in action and dying to yourself to live in Christ. Looking for the light
Romans 5:21

After spending day after day with the little munchkins, its always nice to have some time to sit and reflect about all that is happening here. It is actually after midnight but I just feel blessed to have time simply for me. I have turned on my past by rocking out to the sounds of Amy Grant, Twila Paris and some good old Michael W.Smith. One thing I will always be grateful to my parents for is encouraging us to be just as addicted to there music as they are. Which whenever I am in the mood for comfort tunes, that's where I turn. Isn't it as always as life goes there is a million things I could be doing with my "me" time. Yet I sit here and type it out which is so much more delightful.
Tonight we were in Romans at bible study and I just found this scripture to be so powerful. I was the one that read it aloud and I just wanted to stand up I just felt so encouraged. Praise God that it is His grace that rules over us. I cannot imagine living when sin ruled. No thank you, not that there aren't moments when it tries to take over because lets be honest: It does. The past couple weeks have been an absolute whirlwind. I feel like it never slows down, I always have these great plans: then the week is gone like that PFFT! Then again its almost November, when did that happen and excuse me did October even say Hello? I have been learning alot that I really need better management skills and the will to put into action. Children learn not by words but by actions and when I set examples I want all of them to be Godly examples. I get so caught up though, and I get beaten up by the day and then I do not present the best example for anyone let alone my kids. That's why I love sleeping , I feel like I'm doing a great job of demonstrating sleep. I will teach anyone that wants to learn by the way. If only my children were better students.
Thing 1 turned 2 this week, and today I cut his beautiful locks off. Photos soon to come. Just in the past week he has grown into such a little man. I hardly know what to do with myself most of the time. Tonight after I put him to bed he came out with arms wide open and smiling ready to give me a big hug. *MELTING* Then as soon as he got here he puckered his sweet little lips to kiss me. What do you say, I kissed his sweet little face and was like *BED!*. Even those moments consistency is the best thing for him. I already miss him being my baby! Little miss is such a site, all over this house and I know before I know it she'll be walking. That is how it always happens you barely blink and they're a year older and doing things you can't even imagine. I feel so delighted to have this time with them. I don't really care how frustrated or overcome I get, I wouldn't trade being with them for anything. If ever the time comes that I am not able to be with them for whatever reason, I wanna just cling to this time because it has been an absolute delight. God is teaching me more and more about friendship, I am learning all about the person I would like to be. More so the person I can be in Christ and alot less of me but more of him. Besides whenever I take over you shouldn't want to be my friend. I am not very friendly. No matter what I just am certain of God's love for me that is why he is taking me through my walk. One step at a time I am learning more about seeking His truth for my life. Prayers and blessings on your weekend sweet friends.

Mercy came Running
It is so encouraging to hear songs that speak of how you feel. Mercy came running by Phillips,Craig & Dean is one of those for me.
7 I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. 8 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ. Philippians 3:7-8 Many times I read scripture over and over. But then circumstances arise and that scripture has brand new meaning. It's almost like reading it fully for the first time. It's crazy to think how much life has changed in the past couple of years. I have come to a place in my life of certainty. A place that is not shaken by worldly views and a place that I'm completely comfortable to be in. A place that I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live. I don't know if you have ever come to a place like I have before. A place that you are overtaken in your own sin. That it becomes so dark that there seems like no hope. A few years ago I really fell hard from Christ, I fell from Him and was unaware of it .

That was me my sin that I carried was all I could see. God placed me in a study called "The Truth Project" It is taught by Del Tackett, and is one of the most eye opening things I've ever been involved in. One that I would do many more times if had the opportunity. During the discussion however , they spoke on my sin. They spoke on my sin without me having to be open about it. Just as God would have it we covered everything I was going through without having to say exactly what I was feeling. I was living as a bisexual, I knew that Christ had spoken that it was not correct, yet my sin had overtaken me to the point that I truly thought I was a bisexual. Not that I am a Christian and struggle with bisexuality. I had never called my sin what it was sin. I really just had gone with it, because it came to me as a fragile teenager. So I took it on just like you put on your coat when you leave. As study was ending and we left I called everyone and told them I wasn't bisexual I just struggled with that sin.I felt like a giant weight had been lifted off my chest. I cried all the way home and just thanked God for putting me in a place I had no choice but to see my sin for what it was. I think it's hard as christian's for us to be open that we to struggle with sin. That we are sinners like the rest, yeah we'll mention it but it's hard for us to be completely naked and unashamed that we fall just like the rest. We all sin , yet in Christ we are free from our sin aware of our struggles. I am happy to admit to you now that I have not struggled in many years. All due to Christ and his wonderful mercy, not that I don't struggle in other things. The struggle that had changed me, and made me a completely different person was gone. I am now a new creation in Christ. Psalm 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. I know we all struggle, in more ways than one. It has been on my heart for a long time to write this and I'm glad God finally gave me the opportunity to share it with you now. I pray you all have a great week and are filled with God's love and grace and mercy. S.
7 I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. 8 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ. Philippians 3:7-8 Many times I read scripture over and over. But then circumstances arise and that scripture has brand new meaning. It's almost like reading it fully for the first time. It's crazy to think how much life has changed in the past couple of years. I have come to a place in my life of certainty. A place that is not shaken by worldly views and a place that I'm completely comfortable to be in. A place that I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live. I don't know if you have ever come to a place like I have before. A place that you are overtaken in your own sin. That it becomes so dark that there seems like no hope. A few years ago I really fell hard from Christ, I fell from Him and was unaware of it .

That was me my sin that I carried was all I could see. God placed me in a study called "The Truth Project" It is taught by Del Tackett, and is one of the most eye opening things I've ever been involved in. One that I would do many more times if had the opportunity. During the discussion however , they spoke on my sin. They spoke on my sin without me having to be open about it. Just as God would have it we covered everything I was going through without having to say exactly what I was feeling. I was living as a bisexual, I knew that Christ had spoken that it was not correct, yet my sin had overtaken me to the point that I truly thought I was a bisexual. Not that I am a Christian and struggle with bisexuality. I had never called my sin what it was sin. I really just had gone with it, because it came to me as a fragile teenager. So I took it on just like you put on your coat when you leave. Awww Meatloaf!
As I get all comfy on the couch to write to you, my nose is filled with meatloaf cooking in the oven. It is rare that I would make meatloaf but the other day a friend made it for me and it has become my new supper of choice. If this one turns out good, I will perhaps attempt another. There are days like today that seem to just drag onward. Like I'm running on a treadmill, and yet going no where. (Stupid Treadmill) I've been wicked exhausted from the moment I opened my eyes and I know I will be once I go back to my bed this evening. We even took a family nap- Never long enough. It's like the children just take so much out , yet always have so much more energy. Where did that go: and can I get it in a candy bar? There's one thing about being a full time mom, It never ends. They just always are there needing more of you. Which don't get me wrong I am happy to give. But on days like today, I wanna be the child and ask for a nap!! Luckily they make grown up products that help with the exhaustion.
As the days grow closer to thing 1's birthday. We have decided not to do a big charade. That doesn't it anyway mean he's not gonna have a birthday. Just means it will switch off year to year. This year will be little next year will not, :) It's good in so many more ways than financial. It's so good for my sanity because along with planning two baby showers I don't have much to spare. Oh.. the simpleness of my life is so far gone. BUT my meatloaf was a hit : Thing 1 had 4 helpings. :) Obviously not a bad meatloaf. I found it to be quite tasty myself, even now I'm thinking of a having a little bit more. Is it just me or is it delightful when someone else makes you a meal. It just takes all the work outta dinner, and it's just nice to show up and there it is. I have no problems with cooking but doing it day in and day out it's nice for a break.
My scripture of the day comes from Proverbs, because I read through 19 and 20 and also in Jeremiah. Which opening it up and reading about the plans God has for me. Just always brings the day to a calm. "You can make many plans, but the Lords purpose will prevail."Proverbs 19:21 This could not be more true in any sense. Because I am always making plans.. and get rerouted. I feel like I'm in a car, that I try to take over auto pilot, then the car is like REDIRECTING. It's hard for us to stand aside. I know I just fight like a kid, stomping sometimes a little hair pulling. I just want what I want now!!! "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Ecclesiastes 3:11 I mean I can read this and still want my own way. But I don't know better than God, nor will I ever. It's a good thing though because I look around at this beautiful home and these lovely children.-Yes they are lovely. I wouldn't have any of this if it weren't for all my Creator does for me. I continue to see all the times we fall short of God's plan for us. That we aren't doing all we need to as followers of the King. I just pray that we all live more like Christ wants us to. That we step out of our bubbles and bring another friend to Christ. If that's not what we're here for, what are we doing? S.

The things we leave behind
"I wanna leave a legacy how will they remember me" Nicole Nordeman always knows just what to say to strike up a nerve. How will everyone remember me? What will I leave behind when I go, Will it be my awesome converse and some old candy bars? Am I leaving prints on my friends hearts of all the things I know to be truth. Or when I am gone will all the things I've said and done fade into the wind. There are days like yesterday that just make me laugh when remembering them. But thinking to myself: If that was my last day, was it enough? Because I'll be honest: I never live like this was my last day. I am really stubborn and can be quite pig headed. Which is unlike Christ in most ways. I know exactly where I get it from but it doesn't make it any easier to get rid of for sure. Today just like everyday could be someone we love lasts day. Because only God knows the very last day. Haven't you said things you wish you hadn't said. Even now they're weighing down your heart as you recall upon the moments.
I know I have been there. In fact who knows I'm probably there now. I think sometimes we're afraid of dying, when we should just celebrate that we lived! I know I want it to be a celebration that I'm in Heaven free from this world! You know it's crazy because reading when the disciples just got up and went with Christ. Could you just go? I know even now when someone asks me to go shopping, I need like 800 items and I still forget my phone. Today what are you putting in front of Christ? If it was your last day would you regret spending all your time on the things you did, and wished you did more of something else? More time with your kids, less time with the computer? More time reading the word, less time watching tv? Furthering your life in Christ, not fulfilling it with things of this world that is not our home? I feel like this is on my heart alot! Maybe it's where Christ has put his attention for a reason. Otherwise I wouldn't have to blog right now. But here I am, and here you are reading. I just get a glimpse of adulthood when days like today come. Moments passing in wondering what will be. Today just made me realize a lot of God's infinite power, and how High it truly is. Ephesians 3:16-21 says "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." We sing the words " All to Jesus I surrender, All to him I freely give". Why then when it comes to surrendering to we hold on to dear life, like a child with a lollipop? Why do are we disobedient, why haven't we learned. Not only that but what are we teaching our children and the generations to come? We are not self-disciplined? That we should only speak it not live it? Wake up Friends! If it was your last day: What would you be doing differently? I am always praying for you, Blessings to your week to come. S.

Everything lies on Hope now
Well faithful readers, I apologize for not updating until now. Mostly because I try to be prompt and get one out a week. It is not only something I look forward to because I really like to blog it out, but something I like to think you all look forward to. So this weekend was a bit crazy but crazy isn't always necessarily a bad thing. I had the most wonderful opportunity to go to A day of Hope. :) Which to you who don't know what that is :it was a military conference. I had a wonderful friend offer to watch the kids so I really had a whole day to myself. :) I KNOW shocker.
Having a whole day to myself is well wonderful,is also hard for me to concentrate. Because after you have the littles. All you think about is what is Thing 1 getting into and did she just eat that? But after calling and making sure everything's A'OK I got to really pay attention and relax. The worship was so wonderful and made me realize how much I have lacked to make "ME" a priority. When God calls you to be a mom He doesn't mean that you should just forget about yourself. You need TLC now just as you did before. Probably even more now that your a mom. But because God is so good, He has given me a handful of people that are available when I need some "ME" time. So after having such a nice time at the conference, I have decided I will be taking advantage of my friends!
I have a new favorite song, One thing remains-Jesus Culture. Mostly because it speaks to everything I feel. God's love has never failed, never gives up and never runs out on me. I hear about how "my life is hard and difficult. Yet, how can it be when He NEVER gives up on me. Life never really turns out the way we anticipate or plan. But there is one thing that has always remained the same for me day in day out. It doesn't matter if the laundry is stacked up, the dishes aren't done, the children are screaming. He's always right there: Jesus is always there. His love never changes and He's my rock in all things. I have been spending time with thing 1 learning about animals. Looking up there pictures on the internet and asking him what they are. My favorite one is the rooster so far because he says "cook a dookcle doo". I've been reading in the psalms lately, they are like a warm cup of chocolate on a stormy day. One's you just wanna curl up by the fire and read till your hearts full. My favorite Psalm is Psalm 40. It's like the more I read it the more it's written in my body, satisfying my soul. The things need bedtime but blessings to you all. S.

Your Grace is always enough
I've had the joy of reading in Samuel this week. It's been rather nice just to have time in the word, not feeling like obligated just invited. It's like when you show up to a party out of obligation, Your parents want you to be there, or it's a friend of a friends get together. You aren't chipping at the bit to be there, it's just your there. Where as if it's something you want, you can hardly wait to get there, you plan your outfit, you leave with more than enough time, you get there awkwardly early and you leave late. It wasn't always an invitation for me to be in my word. Which just shows me how incredibly young and stupid I was. I think in this life we are so used to getting it all, Now. We're like Veruca from Willy Wonka, I want it and I want it now. Which growing up I was very much like that, and even today can be like that. We don't really remember that there are people out there just hoping to glance scripture and we have bibles upon bibles just bringing up dust. I was spoiled as a child, it would be a lie to say I wasn't. As a parent now I find it hard not to spoil my children completely. But taking a step back I am asking myself, is that a need or is it just a want. Because truthfully, why spend the money if it's not a need. God always gives his children there daily bread, and yet we're always like NO, I need more now.
Whenever I am dead set on something, I feel a lot like Saul going after David. Just like a dog hunting down his prey. It's hard to take a step back sometimes. To imagine there are people mostly 1 in particular that knows more than us. I know I am definitely one that likes to be correct. I like my friends to value my opinion like I value theirs. At bible study the other night, God kept tugging at my heart about listening to our friends and family. How we really value you them so much sometimes above God. That we just hold them to the highest knowledge. When that is not there place, no one should be above Him. I took away Pacifiers from thing 1 this week. It's actually been rather productive, which is such a comfort. I had mentally prepared myself for break downs. But there was none- I know I was surprised to. But I told him that we had thrown them in the trash. So every time he asked for them I said, "no they're in the trash." So he would say "trash" and that was that. Just yesterday I threw them out and we haven't had them all week. But you know it was perplexing to me why I was keeping the pacifiers. Like I was holding onto them just in case I needed them? Like I didn't even trust myself to stand firm against my decision as a parent. Not only that , that I was just showing my child that I was going to cave. Because what if I had caved, then the next time it would be ten times worse right? Mom said they were in the trash but then she magically pulled them out of thin air. I gave this one to God completely. It was so freeing when I finally didn't try to take it back and didn't give myself a chance to cave.
"I will be glad because he rescues me. With every bone in my body I will praise him. Lord, who can compare with you? Who else rescues the helpless form the strong?" Psalm 35:9 " David replied to the Philistine, "You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven's Armies-the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord's battle, and He will give you to us!" 1 Samuel 17:45-47 God has so much more to give you then your letting him. Don't settle for a Sunday talk with God, live out loud for Him and really spend time with him daily. He'll help you with all your battles and conquer all your enemies. Not always in our timing but always in His. Trust Him,Praise Him, Love Him. God Bless you! S.

Life through the eyes of a child
If you'd like to enjoy this morning with me, I'd love to share with you. We are sitting on the couch listening to the children playing and klove on the radio. The music is giving me such peace, almost like an injection of Jesus. Thing 2 is creeping all around the room almost to the point of crawling. I always love to get down to her level and see what she sees. Thing 1 has Ernie & Bert and is picking them up to different area's of the house and having them talk. It's these moments the ones that tomorrow will be a mere memory that I want to just never let go. Because just from watching Thing 1 grow up I know it all is so fast. I feel like I have so much I want to tell them. Yet words are just words. Just like my blog is for me what I make it. But it could be a completely different thing for you. For all I know you could take it and then put all the correct punctuation in it. Just so you can read it and, enjoy it for that matter.

I basically talk myself out of it before they get to the second reason why we should do that. But sometimes in life we have no choice to say no. Decisions that were made long before we had an opinion. In my lifestyle as a military wife, I get lots of questions. Such as: How long will he be gone for? Do you talk to him alot? How do you feel about him leaving? Long before marriage was ever in my mind, God knew who I was going to marry. God knew what it takes in this life to be married to the military. I just am so very thankful that God gives us what we can handle. So when any questions come up, I know that my Savior has got this. But we should know that wherever we are at. That God's got it!
I love the trust that my children have in me. It makes me feel like I'm doing something right. I keep putting Thing 2 in a sitting up position, just so she'll learn how to sit. She will sit for a while but when she's sick of it she just topples over, not worrying someone will catch her ever. Did you ever play those trust games as a child. Where someone stands behind you, and your suppose to fall back and they'll catch you. I really had a hard time with those. Because just my luck my partner would want to be funny and let me topple to the floor. You know we do that with God, he's right behind us waiting to catch us and we won't let him have us. He always will catch you, it just may not be in your timing. Because in the games I would always want my partner to catch me as soon as possible. But they would wait till I was almost to the floor. He's just molding you and making you trust Him. So that you won't worry about tomorrow, you won't worry about today. You'll just know with all your heart that He loves you and will take care of you. A shepherd never leaves his sheep. Prayers on your upcoming weekend and know that God's got you wherever you are!

He always will catch you, it just may not be in your timing. Because in the games I would always want my partner to catch me as soon as possible. But they would wait till I was almost to the floor. He's just molding you and making you trust Him. So that you won't worry about tomorrow, you won't worry about today. You'll just know with all your heart that He loves you and will take care of you. Praying for more Raid
Well happy readers I am back in my beautiful home. Upon my arrival I have found that I have been again invaded by darling little earwigs. Now when I say darling and little I really mean nasty & annoying. I have been home almost 48 hrs and already I feel like a stranger in my own home. 1st of all I've been gone for around 7 weeks so I'm already a stranger. I know where NOTHING is: So please don't ask me because I apparently lost my brain in the 7 weeks departure. I also have nothing in this house. I basically used up all my diapers/wipes/food before I left, so now I'm running on empty. Don't you just hate the "Ughh.. I have to go on a big shopping trip feeling" Because I honestly hate it. Not only that but I have Thing 1 & Thing 2, which do not make the trip any easier.
I got to go to bible study at church last night which was awesome. I really love any chance I get to enjoy worship/study with my Savior. Since motherhood I find myself consistently distracted or pulled away in another direction. Now please don't get me wrong because I really love and enjoy my children. I just find that I need to worship so that I don't kill them! So really you all should be praying I get time for worship and service.
Now for everything in my life good or bad it comes back to my walk with Christ. So yes I'm taking the pincher bug invasion as a spiritual invasion of the heart. Because like the creatures that get in we let things like worry,fear,anxiety,stress and others get into our life. You know it BLOWS my mind how much we let get to us when we have a book of knowledge and comfort. He's given us music artists, movies, online sermons. You name it God's put it out there to keep up and keep us close to His word. Yet there are days when all we get is to listen to the radio. You know where you are in your walk with Him. I pray you are striving for Christ today. While I've been blogging Thing 1 has managed to climb into my nightstand drawer to get the cookies, dumped a bottle of baby powder on the couch, and nearly let thing 2 crash into the wall from pushing her in the johnny jump up. _Insert meaningful title here_
So there are definite moments in my life that I would like to freeze time and dwell in it forever. Like when you have such an awesome worship service that tears are streaming down your face, or when your eating your favorite dessert, or perhaps when you are witnessing something beautiful. Moments in your life that they are so savory and sweet you could just eat them up. Because you never want them to leave you.
Then other moments that you just want it to be over with. Where you want to curl up like a baby and scream till it ends, Or cover your ears like a child and say no! Moments that reliving them bring chills up your spine just at how terrible they were. If you cannot tell by my awesome title or the way this blog has started I'm not in the best "moment". Its usually in these moments I need to blog because I simply have so much in me that I need to get out. Today there were many moments I wanted to capture in a bottle and never let go. Just as a child chases fireflies the moments are passed and over with.
I've had such a nice time being able to share my family with the rest of my family. Floods of childhood memories have arisen while being here, but it really makes me miss my NC family all the more. I really love watching God grow in everyone's lives. I love watching my children experience life from there perspective as a child and how I watch my own childhood become a distant but fond memory. It blows my mind that I've grown to a place that I'm the instructor and I'm the leader. Well.. I'm not really the leader lets face that. God is, which THANK JESUS because If it was all up to me lets be honest.. most of you would be in tiny rooms with no windows. Because I'm not nor will I ever be as awesome and excellent as our Savior. You know as well as I that really He is the only one that knows how to give LOVE. I mean if you are feeling low or alone.. He's there.Even if your feeling happy that you could fly he's there. He's always there! He's willing and ready to give you the hug that you need. The wrap around your broken heart and show you what TRUE love is. Because it exists. No matter how much the world tries to put weight on other things that will give you love and consistently fail. You want the real example of love.. Read John 3:16! If you don't happen to have a bible.. I will supply it right here for you. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."John 3:16 REALLY! His one and only son.. I don't know how your feeling today but I don't know if I could take my one and only and just give up his life for the rest of the world.. especially people I don't even know. But HE knows you, He knows your name and every breath you breathe, every step you take , and every little hair on your head. (Yes he even knows you even if your bald) This verse has been on my heart lately and I don't know where your at but I pray it throws you for a loop. That you institute some much needed change. "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."Colossians 3:17 It seriously blows my mind how much blogging really just calms all my anxiety. So now that I have had a moment to blow off some steam and teach myself what God wants me to hear. :) I should go but blessings on your weekend friends. S.

From pigtails to promises
When you are a child, all you focus on is one thing at a time. Like when my parents told us we were having another baby. Excitement flooded over our little child bodies. Looking back the baby sibling wasn't all that exciting. They take over most of the attention and tend to do everything "cuter" than you. So you kinda go through a " I don't think I like you" stage. Which is pretty normal in all situations. This past week I got ALOT of time with my sister. Time I really value, because I always will cherish my sister. It made me think about time with our Savior. At first we are overjoyed can hardly contain ourselves. Jesus as the sweetest and most precious name we know. As time passes we become more used to our Savior. Happy with how things are and don't really see Him as our Redeemer, But our "Bro".
I don't want to be one of the crowd. I want to light a candle and stand up on my own feet. I want to let my light shine. Just as I was driving down the road today singing on the top of my lungs! " This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine." Quit hiding under the bushels, Don't let Satan blow it out, SHINE all over where we LIVE! Everyday is a gift from God. We're living as if we have forever. What if you didn't have forever. What if you had a clock that you can't see. Everyday is fleeting and your wasting it away. My sister is a lovely gift from God. I am happy to have had all the moments we had together. I don't ever want her to feel taken for granted. Because just between you and me.( She's wonderful) SO, :) If you have become content with your walk. Maybe its time for some reflection, Jesus paid for all my sins . He laid down His life for me, little undeserving me.

How can I keep from shouting your name
So it always blesses me when God puts a song on my heart. A song that the more you are singing it, the more it is encouraging you, and making you realize what God's saying. It's so great when he is just comforting you even when you feel like you don't need it. Usually our vacation consists of reenacting the farmer and the headless chicken. But this time has been quite a delight, God has blessed us greatly in all he gives us.
On Saturday I had the most wonderful opportunity to witness two of my favorite people become one. The message was sound as to what marriage should be, even though often times we loose track of the truth. "And he said, 'This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one." Matthew 19:5 I pray your marriage is full of sacrifice, just like Christ died for us. Everyday we choose to love each-other as Christ loved us. It should never be "You owe me, or I did this for you." God wants more from us than that. Think of His everlasting love, and constant forgiveness. Praise GOD, He's not as earthly as we are. Constantly going back to the past and making our friends,family and whomever live in our days of sin.
I love the strength and freedom I have in Christ. One that my past doesn't make me who I am going to be. It's like a tremendous weight, gone from me forever. Who but our Savior can do something like that. I know the next couple of months are going to be a whirlwind for my family and myself. That is why I keep choosing to enjoy the days one by one. Smiling in the tiny moments : Like when Sam decides he's just gonna run up and tickle me, Or when Natalie's face just makes me warm all over. I have definitely enjoyed these times here. But that in no way means I haven't missed my back home buddies. I actually wish I could have shrunken them all down, put them in my suitcase and had them with me the whole time. There are daily moments that I'm like "man I wish _____________ was here". - You can definitely insert your name mostly because it has probably happened on more than one occasion . I had the best shopping adventure yesterday, I finally know what I want with my wardrobe! Which is more than I can actually say for the past 23 years of my life. Yes I know I've worn clothes all those years. But it seems when I shop with my friends they know what there looking for, Where as I would just put something on and be like "yea, this works". Now you can laugh if you want because even I myself am surprised by it . But I am drawn towards nautical clothes and what outfit wouldn't be complete without some of my nerdy flair! So yes.. that is my beautiful wrapped up self. Well now that I have blogged for most of the morning, I probably should get started on my day. What about the change?
As my vacation with my husband comes to a close, I find myself pondering time. I know I have blogged before about taking the time we have, and living for the moment. Making the best of all the good old movies we watched and holding true to the lines. Course as far as I’m concerned living in the past movies is so much better than today’s present. But I digress, I have already done a rant on movies today. Geez Louise, You might be thinking why is she just blogging about all the things she’s blogged about. But today’s blog is somewhat different. I am not certain of how you were raised or brought up. But I’m about to tell you a little about my upbringing. That is if my computer decides to cooperate and use all the keys when I press them. Instead of being a brat, and not correctly making the words I am typing. So as the munchkins are entertained. Let us begin!
I was raised in a quaint Christian home, full of good morals and love. Every Sunday we would go to church and then after have dinner at my grandparents. Now as a child it was pretty much the normal to go to church just to be with my friends. I learned about God and Jesus , listening to all the stories from Adam & Eve to Jonah to David and Goliath. Which now I see more of lessons than stories . But while watching my children, I can hardly wait for them to see all that Christ has for their lives. I know for myself that all of it wasn’t really real until after VN. Which to some of you is an old hat to put on, the words roll off your tongue as if tasting your favorite cookie. But to others they are two letters, that contain no meaning and are ready for an explanation. VN aka Vida Nueva is a spiritual life weekend for teenagers. I was 17 when I lived my weekend and it was beyond eye opening for me. Going to church had become the norm for myself. It wasn’t really a life choice for me, to live for the Lord and glorify Him. It was more : Sundays I get dressed up sing praises and see family. For myself being a Christian had almost become an old hat. One that was worn regularly but not really enjoyed. It was always apparent to me the new Christians. The ones that would read His word and be in aw. But it breaks my heart how much precious time I had just wasted away. My life now has become the complete opposite. Jesus isn’t really an afterthought or a back seat driver. As we know from previous entries. He runs this roost, and it will continue to be that way. I know we all are walking different walks . Because no person has the same walk with Christ as someone else. Course why would you want it that way, then we would have nothing to tell each other. Hearing stories of how God continues to work wonders in your lives is something that always makes me smile. I hope you are on fire for Christ. If not I hope you take a moment to meet him, your life will never be the same. When did it change for you? Has it changed for you? You will know when it does that is for sure. Its Sunday and we did pile up the children and head to church. Although it didn’t work out for me to be at the service, it wasn’t a oh I missed the sermon. Because once I got home, I made sure I got to listen to a sermon online. I don’t know what God’s put on your heart this very day. But I know for me its knowing that now is the time, to share his kingdom. God bless you today and everyday. S.

We could be Heroes, forever and ever
It's about 11:30 this morning and I am currently sitting in my parents sun room. My view is the lake, which looks incredibly tempting -but the monster is napping so after he naps I think we'll get in. Its a splendid day and one that brings back beautiful memories. 5 years ago I got married, :) Thankfully to the man I'm still married to today. Every year for our anniversary we go to the latest pixar production. Which this year is Brave :D :D :D !! As you can see from my many smiles I am rather giddy about it.
As you know we just ventured from home up to ME. Which with 2 kids under 2 can be quite a feat. We made it though and with good time to boot! We left about 7am Sunday morning and drove into Mum and Dad's driveway a 3:30am Monday! I know- We're crazy. We've been having such a great time, Loads of laughter and fun. Now to the reason I'm telling you all the this. 1st and foremost people are crazy drivers, I really watched myself getting so angry and frustrated at the other drivers on the road. It was like they really didn't respect anyone but themselves, not only that but they just don't really realize how fast it all can be gone. We were very blessed not to be in any accidents. But we did witness one, which is why I'm blogging today. We had just come through some traffic and all of a sudden to our left is these cars are this way and that. As we drive on we can see one is completely backwards and children are stumbling away from it. It brought tears to my eyes. Because we as drivers are so "full of ourselves." Feeling as though we can conquer anything. Basically all I am asking is be mindful that in the blink of an eye that can all be gone. Being behind the wheel is a privilege, and you should never take it for granted. So as I am frequenting some 80 degree weather with a great breeze, or jumping in the lake and swimming until my hearts content. Remember be mindful of others and don't be an idiot behind the wheel. Just because you think your a good driver, does not necessarily mean you are! Blessings on your weeks to come. Inspiration :

Adventure is a wonderful thing
Well its FRIDAY, WOOT!! I have only hours left for departure, which makes me feel rather giddy. I haven't been back up to ME since Sam was 6 mths and now he's gonna be 21 mths. CRAZYNESS! So as you can see I am looking forward to my visit. This week has been an adventure in itself. A lot of the time lets face it.. I'm AWESOME! Because I cart around 2 children under the age of 2 by myself. Some of you might think I'm not that awesome: Let me inform you -YOU ARE WRONG! But I have basically had to get ready for the whole trip by myself. Getting the car looked at, making sure the gps works, buying the food. Its a lot of work for sure. So the house has not been receiving the love it needs since I've been MIA all week. So that's what is on the mission tonight. I have made significant progress, but there is still a ton to do. So really I should get off this silly blog and clean my house. But if I stop now you'll never know what God's been teaching me all week.
Friendship. God's showing me how much He loves me through my friends. One of the things I pride myself on is being self reliant. I feel once you get married, You leave your parents and make a life with your spouse.

DO YOU HEAR ME.. Don't just get hitched and say Deuces mom and pops. Because that's not what I'm saying. I'm sure at times my parents would love it if I didn't call as much. But hey, I got questions and they have answers. BUT I digress.. When I moved down here, At first it was hard for me to accept living in a new place. As kids there's this song Its like "make new friends but keep the old one is silver and the other gold. " While we kept going to church, I never really opened up. Because I truly felt if I did I would be leaving my family and my church family in the dust. I kept fighting with God about it like: There isn't anyone down here as awesome as up in Maine or They won't get my sense of humor, No one will really love me like they do. But God being the awesome God that he is continued to let me have my "pity me" stage. Finally just put me in a position that I had no choice but to make friends. WHICH was GREAT! Because then I met one of my closest friends : Brian. Who being so awesome happens to be my kids- GODFATHER. Then I met Elizabeth( GOD MOTHER) by attacking her in the bathroom. She says attacking.. but really I just talked to her at the sinks. :) Obviously I was excited since I really wanted to make friends. These are just a couple of my friends. But they are all so great with my kids, they help parent my kids. They are always there when I need a hand: Which I will tell you I don't but I do appreciate it! I am really gonna miss my friends. Even to my friends that don't read my blog, ;) You know who you are. Just so you know, God is amazing. He always knows what you need when you need it. The people in my life are encouraging in Christ, always there when I need a pick me up and most of all are full of great laughter and fun times. I never left my old church in the dust, I just opened my heart to more of His kingdom. I pray you have a blessed week. I know I will. Love to all my buddies. See you when I get back S.

Whirlwind
It's been a whirlwind of fun here at the G. House. Friends of ours have been staying here while they've been house-hunting. So instead of being up to our regular things, we've just been enjoying there visit! So now there is lots to do!
Every year in the weeks leading up to summer camp, I would start prepping my bags early. It was always my most favorite thing packing for my GRAND adventure. I never had a hard time with being away from my parents. In fact I enjoyed being out on my very own and having a whole week to praise God with kids my age. I would pack so long before hand that I wouldn't have any clothes left to wear in the days leading up to camp. It makes me laugh now because even though it was silly to do then. I tend to still do that as an adult, I pack and then end up needing clothes cause I'm so very excited. What about you? Do you tend to hold it all off before the trip? So much so that you are running out the door unsure of whats in your suitcase. One year at camp I ended up having to borrow some underwear since I had only packed like 2 pairs. I obviously wasn't thinking that year at all!
Its been over a year since we have ventured North, so I am incredibly excited to go. I'm really hoping the kids end up sticking to there schedules even though we'll be in a different place. As for most of my blogs this has a spiritual meaning as well. When it comes time for you to speak to others about Christ. Because God puts most of us in those situations, will you be prepared? Have set time aside in building up your "arsenal?" So that whatever questions you face, you know God's truth in the matter. Or as the time approaches you are just gonna wing it, uncertain of whats going to come out. No matter what I pray God speaks through you. That your words are not your own, just as I pray mine come from God. I am not certain where God will take you and when, but if you are reading this that is a good sign that you are wanting more from just your average walk. There tends to be days of darkness, but the light always shines through. Especially if your light is from the Lord of Lord and King of Kings. Blessings on your summer my friends. May it be just the right path to glorify Him. S.

Winners.. Losers and all in between
Let me share a little about me, :) I grew up in a "game" home. It was one of my favorite things that I plan on sharing or when there teenagers "torturing" them with, Because by that point we all know I'll be a loser! ( to them a least) At the moment my son thinks I'm awesome, I think that's why he's slobbering on my face! Either that or my husband has told him too. Anyway I digress..
We played games so regularly that I would get a little bummed when we didn't. I am a competitor! I will fight you with all I have till the end, I'm gonna trash talk and make you feel like I'm a winner-Because I am. :) But honestly at the end of the game I am really just happy to play. We have recently been doing a game night with our friends monthly. It has been the best thing, :) I look forward to it the whole day: hardly doing anything around the house cause I'm so excited.
One of the reasons I'm writing is cause I totally just won against my dad!! :) Always a good day. But secondly because in life I always feel like a winner. After you win a board game you brag and rub it in all there faces. :) You can hardly wait to tell everyone else how you dominated! Well I feel like I'm a winner cause I have this great relationship with God. Who really could ask for more. I have this amazing win, yet I'm not bragging or rubbing it in there faces. Mostly because I feel sorry for them. Sorry that there pride and arrogance get in the way of having a life full of peace and grace. A life that when times get rough seem less overwhelming in the midst of it all. A life where worrying is less of a hassle knowing your Savior's got this.
In this life we have on earth.. its not very long. There are days it feels long, Boy do I know that feeling. But really its just short .. "LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered--how fleeting my life is."NIV Psalm 39:4 I don't know where your at in your walk, or if you've even started walking. But our God is so great that at the end of it all . It doesn't matter if you met him 89 years ago or if you met him today. Why don't you get in the game? God Bless you! S.

Enjoying the little things
So at my house its been a lot of serious talk. There's been a ton of paperwork detailing what's going to be done if anything happens to us. So very grown up stuff, which when we're not doing it draws me to playing. Playing like there's no day but today. Yesterday I took all the pillows of the couch and loaded them up to the point where you ran and jumped on them.
It was quite wonderful, as children my cousins and I would jump on the trampoline. Not to say in anyway that when I go visit I'm not going to jump because I certainly am! Now we would do all sorts of combos..Jump,Jump, Knees. Or others like butt, or indian style whatever we decided to come up with. My cousin Jordan though would jump up high then kick his legs out behind him,put his arms straight down by his sides and he would land on his stomach. I always envied that because no matter how many times I tried my knee jerk reaction would to be put my hands out before crashing into my face. So yesterday when Sam and I were running then jumping into the huge amount of pillows, I laughed. Mostly because I just really enjoy my kids and hope when they are parents they have as much fun as I do. Sure the house needs to get done, bills need to be paid, and we have to work. But don't forget to have fun and be silly. Who cares what people think as long as when you look back your not disappointed. I know I won't be.
We had company for dinner on Tuesday, and after dinner we had cream horns for dessert. My son who is always himself, shoves his fingers into the cream and pulls it out. That is how he continued to eat it the entire evening. So today, I totally did the same. Now I would be lying to say I truly enjoyed it. Because I don't like my hands all sticky or gross, so that part wasn't great. What I did differently is pour chocolate syrup down into the cream horn and ate it like such. It was quite delicious and as I was finishing up the last few bites, I was pondering how in life we forget to live everyday like its our last.
We get so caught up on silly rules and regulations that living for ourselves and seizing the day goes by the wayside. NOW.. JUST POINTING OUT THE OBVIOUS HERE, do NOT read this and go break into jewelry stores and run people over just for the heck of it. As you have read above I seized the day and caused no harm to myself or others. ;) A couple of my friends have been on vacation and things get much quieter when there gone. It will be nice when there back and we can get back to normal. :D I had the best time yesterday, I went to Snow white and the huntsmen. It was a good movie, (side note) this movie is not for children! I would not let my children see this until there much older. Because the Queen was quite nasty and mean.
I hope that your June is off to a wonderful start. Mine certainly is in good form and to top it off I'm beating my dad in lexulous which is always a BONUS! :D

Preparing for Invasion
Welcome Summer, :) It has been so long since we've seen your smiling face. Not only has summer arrived but June is here as well. Which June 1st has officially become my favorite day, simply because its Free Doughnut Day! Which since I am pretty much paying all DD employee's by my support alone, I spell donut this way.Oh and to all my unable to eat donut friends. 1- I ate enough for the both of us, I know I'm so sweet and 2 I am sorry. Ps. no spell-check I don't want to correct my so called error.
Moving on...
I love it when you have days you have nothing to blog about and you wish you did. Then other days you can't get to the computer fast enough. Tonight I was just thinking about nothing,(Yes. I am pooh bear) and it just suddenly hit me. INSPIRATION. Now, I happen to be the kind of person that likes to give you a real story. SO here it is folks.. the reason I happen to be a little frustrated as of late. Millipedes. Yes. Millipedes, the most awkward looking, annoying bug of my existence,(AS of now that is.) Last year we totally were invaded by millipedes, They were in the house they surrounded the house, they had us on the ropes. You name it the millipedes had conquered it. So we got an exterminator-WONDERFUL PEOPLE and cleared out the problem. Here summer has rolled around again and look my kind little millipede friends are back. I guess my big guns last year are not affecting this years population.
Now.. It has not gotten to the point of no return like last year, because they are just casually around the house. But that's how last year started. First there would be 1, a little friendly millipede lurking around the house. Then I would see a couple more, and as the days go on more and more accumulate until INVASION. This like most things in my life is a spiritual lesson. Millipedes are like sin, You say to yourself " Oh its just a little one, it won't hurt anything." Then as you continue to sin or falter in your faith it gets easier and easier. So much so that now the sin is running your life and you have lost yourself. This is why we have EXTERMINATORS. :) One to get rid of the millipedes or like our Heavenly Exterminator he rids us of sin. He takes it all away. So as I am calling the exterminator for the millipedes, take a moment to reflect. Have you let one little sin get in the way of living for the Lord? If so, its okay because He can take it all away. Unlike having to use the phone where businesses close, God's line is always open for a talk. He never puts you on hold or doesn't want to hear your complaints.
Also it doesn't hurt to be prepared, I know with the millipedes I use some bug spray around the house which does kill off some of them. You know this life is so hard, and we all stumble but its nice to know that stumbling or not Jesus is there. He wants so badly to have a relationship with us. The God of the universe, Seriously.. Yes even you. So don't be afraid ... Enjoy a nice chat with Jesus you'll be glad you did. S.

Just be still
So after reading a friends blog, I now have a need to blog. So when listening to or reading the story of "The Tortoise and the Hare" how many times do you want to be the hare. Even though you know the moral of the story, do you just want it to be over? Because when we're zipping in and out of traffic, or passing the person just because we don't like the way they drive, it seems we want to be the hare. Now I don't know if you have this kind of fellowship with God, but let me tell you I do. I ALWAYS want to be the hare. I know I have written about it before, but this is just obviously something I personally need lots of lessons about. The fast & easy way isn't always the best way. You can end up missing beautiful flowers, a picture worth keeping, or just someones friendly smile by rushing. Oh by the way, Do not take this as I want you to go slower than the speed limit! (Do that on your own time, I need to get where I'm going)
See look at that even when I'm taking a moment to share how we should slow down, I have to speed up in my thoughts. *Inhale/Exhale* Ahhhh.. much better, I had no other choice but to be the tortoise this week. (which is very difficult for me) My daughter had failed her hearing test, which since birth we've been trying to get her re-tested. Through a series of not thorough doctors and frustration, we had finally got the appointment. Now throughout the whole experience Psalm 46:10 came to mind. Which says
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10
Well if that isn't a verse to calm the commotion I don't know what is. My daughter passed her appointment today. I think Christ puts you in situations to praise Him. Yet sometimes we just wanna say Thanks God and get on with our day. When did praising God, become such a lackadaisical activity.For my life there has been nothing that God hasn't gone through first, there are many ups and downs. But when I let God show me the way, its a much relaxing ride. I have a song that you can look up, one that was in my mind all day today! Its called : What do I know of Holy by:Addison Road Many Blessings on your weekend my friend! Slow down and enjoy your Memorial weekend!

A your Adorable
Ya know it blows me away when God just gives you light to something so significant in our lives, yet we never paid much attention. I was thinking today that I wanted to post but I really didn't have much to say, which is why I hadn't posted. As crazy as I can be I do like to have some purpose to blogging. I know when we are younger we want to be old, and yet when we are old we yearn to young again. In the midst of it all though we don't see the time passing so quickly. We don't realize that those moments are fleeting and we need to hang on and hold tight to what we have. To pray for contentment and enjoy the moments that dwindle away. Today has been a quiet, peaceful, and lovely day. I got to snuggle on the couch with my two favorite sweeties reliving my childhood through tales of Winnie the pooh. It was rather bittersweet, because although quite wonderful it just made me think of when I used to watch these same shows and now I'm an adult with children of my own. But to continue on... it was later when I stumbled upon what God wanted me to see today.
Its beauty, How utterly beautiful my children are and yet I know in years to come it will become an insecurity. Now I know all about it because I went through it myself. I would spend hours in cosmogirl or seventeen looking at what I thought was beautiful.- Thank you photoshop for making me so insecure. I was listening to klove the other day and this lady was talking how she used make up like an idol, she felt completely naked without it. Now this is in no way a down play on makeup. Because on occasion I wear it myself, I just hope you don't think your not beautiful without it. Because God made you beautiful, and don't worry about comparing yourself to other girls because God made you precious and lovely in your own way. In summer camp we had "secret santas or secret buddies" whatever you call them, One year I got a plaque that had this scripture on it. "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight." 1 Peter 3:3-4. I still have it to this day.
I don't know what God is telling you today, but be true to yourself. Know that your beautiful regardless of what the world says. Trust that God knows what beauty really is and rest in that knowledge. In the end its really inner beauty that shows to all who are willing to see it. :) God loves you just the way you are.

Garbage
There are so many movie lines that catch our fancy. Ones that frequent our mind and cause us to blurt them out, especially at the most awkward moments. It makes me laugh how much garbage we put into our brains. Thinking that it won't change us, or that its not really making a difference. When I was younger there was a tv show called Mcgee and Me. It was a story with a teenage boy and a cartoon character he drew, that happens to come to life. The show gives valuable life lessons, and also takes us back to where our focus should be which is Christ. In this one episode the son wanted to go see this movie, but of course his parents said "No". He snuck out and went anyway- silly teenager, seeing the movie even though it was violent and had profanity. Nowadays we push aside our morals for television. We give television the power in saying what we should and shouldn't watch. Seems like there are no good shows out there anymore, there are all these shows that try to incorporate what the world calls acceptable. Its disappointing to me what television has become, and what we allow into our homes. The end of that show has his parents telling him that when we watch garbage it comes into our mind, and that's what we allow to come out of us is garbage. So Garbage in, Garbage out. So friends let Truth in, and have Truth come out. Be a light for those in these times of darkness. God Bless

Experiencing True Beauty
As we approach mothers day, I can't help but post about mothers. Now I have been blessed with many. Mostly because God is awesome and he knows what I need. Either that or He knows I need a lot of direction.- You may take your pick. My mom is so very wonderful. When I was a child she wrote to me in a journal, and like most moms life caught up with her so she had to stop writing. Which is sad because her stories always make me smile, poor Alissa didn't even get a journal.-Its okay Alissa mom really does love you. My mom always knew when I needed to laugh, or cry or just needed to be held. She has molded me into the woman I am today. When I got married I moved South, now you may not know this about be but I was born and raised in the North. I am a true Mainer, and proud of it.- This girl loves her Lobstah. But instead of being sad all the time that I was gone, my mom encouraged me to embrace my new life. How hard that must have been, I know when my babies grow up it will be hard to say " Yes, go live miles away from me, Live your own life. I didn't just spend my life raising you!" But when its time for my babies to be adults. God will give me the strength to encourage them, just as my mom encouraged me. Because of my mom's love and encouragment I have made a life here for my family. Now before I pay tribute to two other beautiful women in my life, a little taste of one of my moms journal entries to me.
Dear Sarah, We had visitors over Christmas and your cousin Charis was so good, I thought your dad would want to trade, but I prefer spunk myself.-LT :)
This makes me smile, because my mom prefers my spunkyness.-Sorry Charis :D
Now we all watch fairy tales, just admit it we know you do. I always dreaded marriage just for Mother in laws, they make them seem so terrible. Mine happened to be a gift from heaven itself, My mother in law is the spitting image of what I want to be when Samuel gets married. Not only did she give me her son, but she opened her heart to me. So even at first when I thought I only had room for 1 mom, God gave me a growing heart for another. In so many ways I married into a family that had always been there in my heart, Just missing until I was wed. I really enjoy all the talks and moments we share and the projects we get to do together. She is so wonderful to my children , and I truly am blessed to have her .
Lastly but certainly not least is my NC Mama! Moving away from your family can be hard. But God saw that I needed a home away from home, and He made it happen here. I truly will miss her when I have to go. She is always full of the guidence I need, the scripture I need to read, and fun as can be. She has made all the holidays bearable, because there surrounded by family like it should be. So to all my mama's out there, Thank you. I hope one day I will be a role model to others as you all are to me.

I like to eat, eat , eat. :)
This was what I made for dinner last night.(See link Below!) I feel like a lot of the time we just stick to what we know. I hate that, I really enjoy making new dishes. I like to enjoy different variety kinds of meals. Preferably delicious ones, but I'll take what I can get. Because I never really noticed my love of food, until I was married. Because after I was married I had to do the cooking. Which was fine, even though I never took the time to "practice"-sorry mom. I found out that I'm not a terrible cook, I like to think of myself as an alright cook, but nothing super fabulous.
One of things that makes cooking difficult in my household, is the fact that I have picky eaters. Both my children are Lactose intolerant: So no dairy. Well since I'm still nursing Natalie, that means no dairy for me. Which sometimes is a MAJOR bummer. But I absolutely love nursing and will make all sacrifices necessary for my kids. -Yeah I know I'm awesome. (laughs at herself) Anyways someday I'll make sure my kids realize how awesome I am, They'll be teenagers yelling at me telling me I never give them anything or let them do what they want . Then I'll smile and say... I went years without dairy for you. :D Probably it won't go this way but I'm hoping my life will re enact sitcoms! All those shows are so fluffy and bright. Your like "What?!, I'll have kids, Growing pains made it look easy!!"
Well , back to my recipe: It was delicious. Really yummy, Samuel even ate the chicken, which is fantastic!! I give this recipe 8 stars outta 10. Simple: CHECK Yummy: CHECK and even Healthy: CHECK

The things people never say
There are moments in my life that I wish I had spoken up but didn't have the courage. There are also moments in life when I wish I'd kept my mouth silent but roared like a lion. It seems more often than not I have so many things I want to say but nothing clear or adequate comes out. But this being on my heart, I decided to share with you, Marriage is hard work. I am sharing with you because no one really gives you the honesty you deserve when embarking on such endeavors. No, instead its full of remarks such as, That's so wonderful, We're so happy for you, Congratulations, and many other great things. Now I am not saying marriage isn't wonderful or great, or something to congratulate in any manor. Because it is , it truly is, I am just clearly stating that marriage is a lot of hard work. Anyone who is married and doesn't think its hard work, well the word silly comes to mind. See the thing is Christ intended marriage to be a beautiful thing, which please don't read this and think my marriage isn't beautiful. Because I am so grateful to my husband for all that he does for me and my children. I know that Christ has very good things in store for us just as he promises.

See, clear as clear can be the Lord gives us direction. See I know for me 1st in my personal walk with Christ and 2nd in my marriage walk with Christ, I tend to get in the way. Christ will have my life set up completely clear, no stop signs, no pot holes, straight and narrow. But then I decide I need to drive so then we ram into a tree, or run over a raccoon(poor creature) or drive in the ditch for a while. Then when I begin to get carsick I let Christ drive and we get back on track- no surprise there. The same is in my marriage I decide its my way or the highway, or my husbands way or the highway and there we go again, a little off road, a little swim in the pond and a lot of wrong turns. But when we finally let go and let God. We get back to the destination he has set for us.
"A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." Ecclesiastes 4:12
So enjoy all that Christ has for you and your marriages, read his word together and hold tight to his promises. He never fails.

Sometimes He comes in the clouds
There are various times in life when it feels like the world has overtaken you. Well I'm here to tell you that simple is not true.
When there are times of struggle, times of disappointment , times of just sadness, Jesus is there. He is always with you, even when you feel so far from him.
When I was a teenager I was a bit of a drama queen. Okay that is a major understatement, I was a rather obnoxious, very dramatic ,Queen of drama. When your a teenager everything seems like the world will end if you don't get to do (this certain thing). But when things wouldn't work out or I just needed to refocus I would go back to Christ. I have grown up a lot since those days, and if I didn't get enough of it those days I now see it in my children. They aren't even teenagers yet- I know send prayers. I find it complete and total mercy & grace when our parents don't kill us. Much like that of our Savior, giving us so much more than we deserve. What I find completely sweet is when we are struggling and have no where to go, He gave us an entire book of knowledge and advice. So very well written that even in today's days of technology it still remains the same. It gives you a good look into our Creator and how much He truly loves us. So if you haven't gotten a chance today , go read some of His word. Quiet your heart and open your mind to all He has in store for you.
So my advice to you : When the world brings on all its got, stand firm in Christ. "What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?" Romans 8:31

Toilet humor: An aquired taste!
You would think after reading the title I wouldn't have put two adorable children as the photo to this entry, but when have I ever been predictable. These beautiful children are the reason I am blogging today. I really adore children, they make you realize you know absolutely nothing. Today we ventured to Pollocksville to visit "The Godmother". It was lovely we were having a great time just chilling, when I hear from the other room "OH SAMUEL". So I put Natalie down from nursing and ventured forth to see that Samuel had climbed into Lizzy's toilet. So pretty much all you can see was his head. :) Now you will find this out about me but I am not a worry kind of mom. I pretty much feel like the children are going to fall on things that will hurt them, eat things they shouldn't and mostly get into things that are gross and make you say "bluah". But that is one of the joys of parenthood. So instead of freaking out I just smile and continue on with my day. So Samuel got to have a nice shower, a new outfit, and we went on with our day.
Later on I went to nurse Natalie and her pants seemed wet, so I pulled them out and stupidly stuck my hand right into poop. Because my sweet daughter had pooped out of her diaper and onto her outfit. So after about 15 wipes later she was all cleaned up and onto outfit number 2. I would just like to point out during this event Lizzy laughed the entire time. Sidenote: Elizabeth I can't wait till you have children. For I will be the one laughing!!
So it came to be about 3ish I decided to drive the kids home. Now that were home I went to change Natalie and she again had pooped out of her diaper and onto her outfit. (Yes I know time to move up to size 2 diapers)So while I was changing Natalie I couldn't see Sam. So after she was all cleaned up I went scouting for Sam. He was in my toilet playing with toys. Now some will read and be like what a terrible mom not shutting the doors, or not getting toilet locks. I have purchased toilet locks and my 18 month old can still get into the toilet. I know its not really great that he has a liking to playing in the toilet. But all photo evidence will reveal when he's older what a weirdo he was. (Poor Samuel's future wife) Well after all that great toilet humor, I think its time to prepare some supper. So Hope you enjoyed this eventful day. I know I sure did!

Starting from the Top
Well you probably are wondering about who I am and where I come from. :) It all begin over 24 years ago when my parents decided to embark again on parenthood. (silly parents) Let me just state my blogging will not be correct punctuation and may consist of many irritating errors. But since this is my blog, I would be very obliged if you kept your comments to yourself. See this is my only way of letting go of the burdens of life and having an out, if you hate reading English errors. This is not the blog for you. Now that we have covered all basics such as: I'm alive and I can royally suck at English we shall begin.
I truly think that childhood is the bomb diggity, Sure you get a few scrapes and have to obey your parents. Well rephrase you should obey your parents. But for the most part its full of ice cream and being lazy and just enjoying life, at least my childhood was. Now that I'm an adult I find myself wishing to be a kid every single day. It's not like I don't act like a kid for everyone wants to be Peter Pan but at the end of the day adults have to turn off the nightlight, and get back to the real world. Which due to lack of brains is quite dull and boring.
I have 2 children, two beautiful children who take up most of my time. Which is another reason I needed a place to myself. Not that they won't be invading my blog because lets be honest. Stories about children are often quite hilarious. So that probably will be many of my blog posts , but its really a place where I get to relax, recap and just take a load off. For that's what we all need really right, a nice happy place. Well this is mine, so please don't rain on my parade. Well things that are happening in my life is a lot of out with the old in with the new. Which in my world is chaos, because I tend to pull everything out before putting anything away. (This drives my husband up the wall) But I made significant progress today but I'm sure I'm the only one that sees it as such.
Oh so for supper last night we had ham steak , steamed broccoli and roasted onion potatoes. The potatoes recipe was off the lipton onion soup mix box. YUMMY! That is something else you should know about me, I love food. I am always watching Diners, Drive ins and Dives or whatever else amazing the food network puts on! Probably the reason I don't get much done around the house but what can I say I'm in a food coma! Well I really could stay and go on for hours. But my youngest just spit up her entire lunch onto the bedspread and seems to be getting a little upset. So TTFN! Happy Reading,
